Theme to Host a New Years Eve Party
One of the best parts about planning to host a New Years Eve party would be deciding on the theme. Even thought it’s not essential to have a themed-party, it can be a great way to lift your party and get your guests excited. Going with a themed party means your style, decorations, food and drinks all have to be in theme – so for any indecisive planners out there – a theme would be the way for you to go. Just make sure deciding the theme is your first decision so you don’t have to start planning your party again!
Here are some theme ideas:
This has to be one of the most popular choice since it doesn’t require too much thought for your guests. It’s also really fun to get all glammed up to bring in the New Year.
Secret agent party
Your guests will enjoy this theme since they will still be able to dress fancy and will only have add some sunglasses, secret agent name badges and/ or ear pieces to the outfit.
80’s dance party
Get your dancing shoes ready and pull out the leg warmers, taffeta and crimping iron!
Black and white party
Super simple for your guests! Who doesn’t have black or white clothes?
When it comes to a New Year Eve’s Party, glitter, confetti and sparkly decorations are a must. After all, a New Year Eve’s party is the best excuse to go all-out on decoration we wouldn’t probably use for any other occasion. And this is pretty much the only one occasion where the more decorations you use, the better the it will look. However, you can still be sure that your gold, silver and black theme will still impressed your guests by its chic and its class.

Food & Drinks
When it comes to the food and drinks we think food stations is a great idea. It means that your dishes will be separated by type and will be spread out around the party space. This will also make it much easier for you to stick to a theme, for example, Hors d’oeuvres are often used for a masquerade party as it oozes sophistication!
One of the advantages of the food stations over a buffet is that it creates more mobility so there’s less congestion and everyone can get their food at once. You can completely customize your food to you and your guests’s taste and you can offer more variety than a traditional plated dinner service would. It’s basically a much more fun and chic alternative to buffet tables while using the more elegant aspects of a sit-down dinner.
